Nominations for the 2025 Celebrate Cultural Diversity Awards are now open. The awards will be presented on September 29th at Celebrate Cultural Diversity at Chelsea Parade in Norwich.
Lottie B. Scott Diversity Award
The Lottie B. Scott Diversity Award, established in 2013, at the first “Celebrate Diversity” event, recognizes the achievements of an individual who has enhanced our interactions and our community. The nominee will be recognized for their efforts to promote cultural equality, opportunity, and understanding within our community.
Nominees must work or reside in the Norwich Rotary service area, which includes Norwich, Griswold, Ledyard, Bozrah, and Jewett City. The recipient must also agree to receive the award in person on September 29th at the CELEBRATE CULTURAL DIVERSITY Event at Chelsea Parade Park in Norwich, at 7 PM. Applications must be received by September 22nd. The recipient of this year’s award will be notified by September 25th.

Community Diversity Award
The Rotary Community Diversity Award, established in 2016, was created to honor an organization in the spirit of the Lottie B. Scott (Individual) Diversity Award. Nominee Organizations must have a significant effect on diversity in the Norwich Rotary Service Area; encourage and promote activities that bring members of diverse cultures together and expose the community to activities that further cultural awareness and education.
