Benjamin Palmer was the eighth President of the Norwich Rotary Club, serving in the 1932-33 year.

He was born July 12, 1901, in Norwich, the son of Benjamin and Lucy Palmer. His father owned a poultry farm onĀ Vergason Ave.

Palmer worked as an engineer for the engineering firm of Chandler & Palmer (later Chandler, Palmer, & King; which itself merged with CME Engineering in 2001.)

Mr. Palmer was a trustee and corporatorĀ of Norwich Free Academy. He and his wife Rosalind had two children. The family lived on Washington Street in Norwich.

He passed away on May 1st, 1987 in Tuscon, Arizona.
