Mary Richardson gave $10.00 and told a story of watching the O.J. Simpson car chase while lying in the ER after being bit by a dog.  It was 3 days of entertainment while in the hospital at Backus!

Jim Daly gave $31.00 happy dollars in honor of his 31st wedding anniversary.  He was looking forward to taking his wife to Bella Fiore to celebrate seeing as it will now be open for business!

Andy Grant gave $20.00 to thank Mike Cooney for his term as president!

Jim Konrad gave and encouraged everyone to watch the movie trailers for the “Airport” movies on Amazon Prime!  O.J. appears in quite a few of them!  Jim also had accolades for Rodney Green for the outdoor dining at Olde Tymes and for the excellent Catfish & Eggs breakfast!

Gary Young told everyone that there will be a breakfast Friday June 19th at Olde Tymes sponsored by the Ambassadors of the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce.  Still a few seats available so call the Chamber to save your seat!

Susy Hurlbert gave happy dollars to thank Mike Cooney for his presidential year.  She also said the ECAR had a very successful Awards Meeting via ZOOM!  A first for that and at went without a hitch!  Also, ECAR had a shredding event on June 6th that also netted 665 pounds of food for the food bank!

Rodney Green thanked Jim Konrad for stopping by Olde Tymes!  He is now looking forward to opening inside seating there as well as outside.  The catering side is now very busy as well and he’s happy to be so busy again!

Mike Cooney is happy to hear Olde Tymes is back to normal and is looking forward to having his favorite omelets once again!  Mike also said he was in Groton earlier in the week with the District Governor distributing PPE items on behalf of Rotary.  He told a story of some outside seating at the camp in Ashford long ago that took place on a baseball field and not inside the dining hall and it was not the cook’s choice for where to eat!  His daughter Katie graduated pre-school on Friday!  His son Matt visited the ER after of complaining of chest discomfort. After chest ex-rays thankfully it was only some acid reflux and the situation was remedied in short order with some medicine.
