Fellowship-with Bob F. The club recognized two membership anniversaries, Jerry Lowney’s 51st and the ever-youthful Andy Nollman’s 15th. Nicole Sweeney returned as a guest. Being St. Patrick’s Day and the occasion of the Service Person of the Month, Bob regaled the club with a biography of John Holland and his submarine.
Announcements-Andy Grant made a gift to the Rotary Foundation, and Benji’s Fund benefited from a gift from Gorin’s Furniture. Next week’s guest speakers will be New England Science & Sailing Foundation Executive Director of Education Dr. Eric Isselhardt and Master Educator, Caleb Rose. A reminder that the golf tournament is on September 1. The proverbial clock is ticking!
Happy Dollars-Live, from San Diego, with Andy Grant. The peripatetic Mr. Grant was in San Diego visiting family on a multi-state tour that will include visiting Charleston, South Carolina, and a new store opening! Andy also reminisced about Ernie Plant.
- Michelle Scott wished all a happy St. Patrick’s Day, noting that her grandmother was from Cork (from whence came many of the best people.) Michelle also noted that her daughter was initiated as a tribal member.
- Rodney allowed that he was very busy. He shared a photograph of nancy Gentes just prior to the renovation of the UCFS building.
- Suki has relocated to Norwichtown and promised to patronize Ace Hardware.
- Jen wished everyone a Happy St. Patrick’s Day.
- Andy Nollman gave a tip of the hat to the Service Persons and wished all a Happy St. Patrick’s Day.
- Mike C. bemoaned a case of brain fog but was enthused by a new camera and the arrival of Shadow the kitten. Shadow is a much better name for a cat than Bob or Rooster Cogburn.
- Susy was ecstatic about the good weather and skiing and greeted the Service Persons.
- Jim D. welcomed St.Patrick’s Day and the impending return of Andy Grant.
- Kathryn expressed great enthusiasm for St. Patrick’s Day and the chance to honor the service members.
- Barry was overjoyed by Andy G’s return, welcomed the service members, and was happy for his grandchildren’s birthdays.
- Gary welcomed our service guests and provided some background information on the award and its eponym, Ralph Learned.
- Nancy wished all a Happy St. Patrick’s Day and welcomed the award recipients.

- Program: Members of the Navy and the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut joined the club in presenting the March 2020 and March 2021 Serviceperson of the Month to STS2 Zacchary J. Pennington and STS1 Nicholas McCoic. The recipients received a plethora of gifts and encomiums.
