Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want
He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters
He restores my soul
He guides me in paths of righteousness for his names sake
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil for
You are with me, your rod and your staff they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my like and I will dwell in the
House of the Lord forever.
Lord we thank you for your word-It just can’t be beat
It’s like a light unto our path and a lamp unto our feet
And until we get together again
Let’s praise the Lord and say Amen!

Announcements:
*Mary Richardson said the Jewish Federation sent a note of thanks to the club for our support of “Operation Cool Down.”
*If you know of anyone who would be a good speaker at one of our Rotary Meetings contact Bob Farwell or Kevin Wickless. Speakers can be done virtual as well if needed.
Mary also reminded that the Presidential Club Project for her year will be supporting the Give-a-Goat Project for the Haitian Health Foundation! The canister will be at the head table for donations. Goats are $150.00 a-piece and can support a Haitian family with milk, meat and they can breed their goat to insure a better quality of life for the future. Let’s all support this great project and purchase lots and lots of goats!
*The Service Person of the Month might be moved to March as the Subbase is currently not clearing the monthly recipients to attend Rotary Meetings currently.
*Gary Young announced that the Golf Committee is moving ahead with the golf tournament in September and will be contacting members who have participated in the past for their continued support. Next meeting there should be auction items at the meeting to bid on before the tournament. Also last weeks “Putting Contest” netted $95.00 following the meeting. Again there will be a putting contest today, 3 balls for $10.00 and you get a Klondike Bar too!
*Mike Cooney said the club website has information on this year’s Golf Tournament and you will be able to register and pay. Also the site is able to accept semi-annual dues payments.
*There is Happy Dollars money available for donations for worthy recipients. Contact the Happy Dollars Committee for any requests for a needy individual or family.
*Jennifer Granger said the Annual Dictionary Project that usually takes place in October might be moved in light of the Covid pandemic. She’ll keep us up to date as to what might happen as soon as the schools know what the plan is for the fall.
Happy Dollars: Andy Grant:
Andy gave because he was happy to have had lunch with his daughter. He had a sad dollar as once his Hobie Cat got washed out to sea again after yesterday’s Tropical Storm! Hopefully it has washed up on Long Island like last time.
Barry Shead was in Maine last week and climbed Mt. Battie in Camden on what was the hottest day in Maine….. Probably ever!
Mary Richardson gave for the Goat Project, Andy’s Trees and for Suki Lagrito who was featured on TV speaking about the Peruvian Festival.
Erin Gizio was happy to be back to Rotary after missing a few meetings.
Nancy Gentes was happy to have her new generator from Ace Hardware as she lost power in yesterday’s tropical storm.
Theresa Madonna gave $20.00 and thanked Jennifer Granger and the staff at UCFS for their help in transitioning a client.
Auction: Jennifer Granger gave $20.00 for the cause.
Lottery: Rich Pascal
Erin Gizio was the first to draw and came up short! Andy Grant made a valiant attempt, but to no avail! President Mary Richardson also had no luck drawing the Ace of Spades! No winner this week!
Program:
No program this week, however everyone in attendance had wonderful accolades for Rodney Green for the incredible “Box Lunches” he delivered for the meeting! Wrap sandwiches, Bag of potato chips, pudding and fruit cups were included as well as a bottle of water! Like everything from Olde Tymes it was really delicious and first class!
President Mary adjourned the meeting at 12:37 and the Putting Contest commenced with Gary Young!
Respectfully submitted,
Bob Reed – RONE Reporter
