Happy Dollars:  Andy Grant

Andy started off with over the 4th of July weekend he had 15 kids as guests at his home on the shore.  He said he enjoyed every moment, but now the house is empty and it’s just he and Nancy.

Margarida Martins-Querido said she took her mother to Newport, RI over the 4th of July holidays that included touring some of the mansions and a boat ride around Newport harbor.  She also said there will be a “Jaws” event in September on the 6th and 7th in honor of the 50th anniversary of the movie.  She’s looking for sponsors.

Susy Hurlbert had a great vacation driving up the coast to Maine and New Brunswick, Canada.  Some of the stops included the botanical gardens outside of Booth Bay, Arcadia, Bar Harbor and the Bay of Fundy.

Pat Marshall spent the 4th of July holidays with her son and grandson on the New Jersey shore.  She said she had a wonderful time except for the 5 hour drive each way.

Stan Lucas reported that the daughter of Steve Ayer, who was our guest speaker last week, suffered a brain aneurysm and is in a coma.  Please remember her in your prayers.  He also said that his daughter Ana was suffering stomach pains and went to the ER.  Thankfully it was a kidney infection and could be treated with antibiotics.  Stan also told a story of purchasing a car in New Jersey that was somewhat complicated but everything turned out ok.

Andy Nollman said to remember those affected by terrible floods in Texas and New Mexico.  He enjoyed the 4th of July holiday visiting Jim Daly on Lord’s Point.  His parents celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary with a dinner that included some huge ribs with a price to match!  He also said he spent breakfast in Madison with an old friend.

Mike Cooney reported that his daughter Katie’s last softball game was played and they just came up a little short on winning the game.  He also lost power in last week’s storm that blew through.  After messing around with his generator and finally getting it started the power came back on!

Steve Martin said he had a great holiday weekend and is looking forward to celebrating his wedding anniversary this weekend!
