DEAR LORD THIS IS A PRAYER FOR PEACE

HOPING THAT ALL THE VIOLENCE WILL CEASE

THE LOOTING AND SHOOTING IS OUT OF CONTROL

THE HATE AND VIOLENCE IS GROWING OLD

WE KNOW WE ARE HERE TO MAKE THINGS BETTER

SO LET’S THROW ALL THIS BAD STUFF INTO THE SHREDDER

LET’S LIVE A LIFE THAT SHINES A LIGHT

AND DO OUR BEST TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT

AND NOW LET’S GIVE THANKS FOR THE USUAL STUFF

FOR THE FOOD AND THE FELLOWSHIP ALWAYS MORE THAN ENOUGH

AND UNTIL WE GET TOGETHER AGAIN

LET’S PRAISE THE LORD AND SAY AMEN
